Louis Georget BOYER est né le 20/09/1962
Depuis mon enfance, je voulais peindre et ne rien faire d’autre. À l’école, je passais mon temps à dessiner. Je ne sais pas ce qui m’a poussé et qui me pousse encore à peindre aujourd’hui, mais pour moi peindre est un acte d’amour. Mon style de peinture est figuratif, motivé par une sensation, une idée à partager ou un témoignage comme mon travail du moment sur le « tan lontan » et les paysages de La Réunion notamment les Hauts de l’île, lieux historiquex et mystiquex. Lorsque je peins Salazie, Mafate ou Cilaos, je ne peux m’empêcher de percevoir la présence de nos anciens à travers les arbres et les sentiers. On peut distinguer dans mon travail, une partie liée à la culture réunionnaise à travers les feux de bois et les cases en tôle qui, pour moi, sont des symboles d’une culture en perdition et qu’il faut à tout prix conserver.
Je suis proche de ma culture et ma sensibilité aux énergies fait que, depuis quelques temps, on perçoit fortement dans mon travail des arbres, des entités (énergies), que chacun peut ressentir…
La présence de l’eau est très importante dans mon œuvre, elle a besoin d’être protégée. C’est pour cela que je tente de la déifier et de faire apparaître des esprits des eaux, les Ondins et Ondines, issus de la mythologie germanique.
En effet, dans mon travail, j’essaie de rendre visible l’Invisible.
Lors de mon récent voyage en Thaïlande, les Thaïlandais ont nommé ma peinture « spirit painting », cela me convient parfaitement.
Mon plus grand souci de peintre, c’est de laisser une trace sur la Terre et un peu comme un tapis mendiant, y accrocher mon bout de tissu pictural.

Louis Georget BOYER was born on October 20, 1962.
Since my childhood, I wanted to paint and do nothing else. At school, I spent my time drawing. I don’t know what pushed me and who still pushes me to paint today, but painting is an act of love for me. My style of painting is figurative, motivated by a feeling, an idea to share or a testimony like my work on historic moments and inspired by the Reunion Island highland landscapes and mystical places. When I paint the highland circuses of Salazie, Mafate or Cilaos, I cannot help but perceive the presence of our elders through the trees and the footpaths. One can distinguish in my work a part linked to Reunion Islander culture through the wood fires and the sheet metal huts which, for me, are symbols of a Creole culture we are quickly losing and which must be preserved at all costs.

I am close to my Creole culture and my sensitivity to the energies that surround us. For some time now, people tell me they strongly perceive in my work trees, entities or energies, that everyone can feel…
The presence of water is very important in my work, it needs to be protected. This is why I try to deify it and to make water spirits appear, the Ondines from Germanic mythology.
Indeed, in my work, I try to make the invisible visible.
During my recent trip to Thailand, the Thais named my painting « spirit painting », it suits me perfectly.
My greatest concern as a painter is to leave a trace on the Earth and, a bit like a beggar’s rug, hang my pictorial fabric there.
